DESCRIPTION
Stereo Supplies began in 1963 when an enthusiast by the name of Norm McMahon decided to start retailing hi fi equipment of a much higher standard than was generally available at the time. One of his main suppliers was Alex Encel, a like minded enthusiast in Victoria who had started a similar retail operation in Melbourne in 1958.
After decades of doing business together, it was only fitting that Alex Encel eventually bought Stereo Supplies from the company that took it over when Norm McMahon retired and sold the business. Today Stereo Supplies is part of a specialist retail network that spans three states.
The staff, however, are fiercely Queenslanders.
